The Chevrolet Impala Bio Fuel was introduced in 2015. In subsequent model years, the number of trim levels was consistently reduced. Production of the Impala ended with the 2019 model year as General Motors shifted to producing self-driving vehicles.
Over the years, the Impala has received many recognitions, including awards by Motor Trend, Automotive Fleet, and Business Fleet magazines. From 2007 to 2012, NASCAR replaced the Monte Carlo with the Impala name on its stock cars.
